Tentang Kami

About Us

Ethnolab is a discursive space jointly organized by KUNCI Cultural Studies Center Yogyakarta and The Researcher’s Affects project (2013-2017; Freie Universität, Berlin, Germany and University of Berne, Switzerland). This collaboration aims at promoting and supporting interdisciplinary research on sociocultural issues by engaging in the principles and techniques of ethnographic methodology.

Initiated in Yogyakarta in 2015, the Ethnolab is comprised of a series of conceptual and methodological conversations across disciplines in order to promote ethnographic fieldwork and writing and enhance modes of collaborative knowledge production between young researchers and community members who participate in the research process.
